The Mayor and Board of Aldermen have established six pillars of excellence, which serve as the foundation for Smithville’s vision for a thriving City. One of the pillars is Community Engagement, which includes seeking input from the community.
In 2018 the Board authorized an agreement with ETC Institute to conduct a DirectionFinder® citizen satisfaction survey. The survey was conducted in January 2019 and presented to the Board and citizens in March 2019. Overall citizens are pleased with services from the City of Smithville and have emphasized several areas of improvement. View the results of the survey below.
